Brief History :
The University of Tennessee has been playing football since 1891. Tennessee holds an all-time record of 794-349-52 (.686) and is the winningest program in the country since 1925. The University of Tennessee football program boasts 6 National Championships as well as 16 conference titles, the most recent coming in 1998. Throughout the years, the Vols have been to 50 post season bowl games, which ranks 2nd all-time, and Tennessee has had 38 consensus All-Americans including greats like Reggie White and Peyton Manning. Tennessee plays in the Southeastern Conference in the East division and their major rivals include: Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
